On September 6-7 the steering group committee meeting of the PolRom project took place at the Slovak Academy of Sciences Institute for Research in Social Communication in Bratislava. We discussed our progress in studying the complex relations between political discourse, antigypsyism and collective action towards the Roma. Many thanks to our invited experts Bernard Rorke, Nadácia Milana Šimečku and Andrej Findor for their valuable comments. We are looking forward to further collaboration in the second year of the project.
